Mandatory in 2015 for housing in France


The National Assembly and the Senate adopted Law No. 2010-238 of 9 March 2010 for the mandatory installation of smoke detectors in all dwelling places.

OBLIGATION FOR OWNERS AND TENANTS:

  • At least one smoke detector should be installed by the occupant owns or rents it.
  • The smoke detector must be purchased and installed by the homeowner, as it occupies the slot or put in rental.
